Where do you put the sitrring spoons when you are stove-top cooking? Do you use a napkin and place the stirring utencil on on? Do you have a spoon caddy to rest it on? Do you leave it in the pot? Often times when I’m cooking, I find myself wondering what to do with that spoon or other stirring utentcil. I want to use it more, so I won’t throw it in the sink. I don’t want to leave it in the pot, because that it will get to hot, or worse yet, fall into the pot. Laying it on the counter next to the stove can cause a mess, too! What do you do?
I do have a spoon holder to the right of my stove but it holds only one spoon. My mother used to have one that she kept on the stove and it held three spoons. I cannot seem to find one like that anymore. Maybe I’m not looking hard enough. Anyway, I typically will use a small dinner plate, or I allow for there to be a mess on the counter.
Then I discovered these beautifully notched slotted utencils. The Rachael Ray 3 Piece Silicone Lazy Tools Set is a great addition to any kitchen. Because of the notched side it can easily sit on the edge of the pan and won’t fall in. The material is silicone, so it won’t get hot and you can handle it easily.
